Paul Utr, Co-founder & Co-CEO at WAYF

Paul has been building online platforms since his teens, starting with thematic portals stitched together on Joomla and WordPress, weaving in forums and social features and picking up UX, design, and product mechanics as he went. He later studied neo-Latin languages and linguistics at the University of Wrocław. The route into product design is not a common one, and it has stayed with him.

At Netguru, Paul led product design across accounts including Mailgun, where his redesign shipped before Sinch's $1.9B acquisition of the company, and the Keller Williams and UBS engagements. He then joined Ramp Network as its Principal Designer covering product, web, and brand, working alongside the founders through the seed-to-Series-B years as the product scaled into a global one. He later served as Interim Head of Design, growing the function from a team of one and hiring his own replacement before he left.

At WAYF, Paul leads design, strategy, client relationships, and organisational alignment. He pays attention to language itself, to how meaning takes shape across a product, a brand, and the systems that move both. That attention is becoming load-bearing as machine systems start to read at our scale, and it shows up in how Paul scopes design work and keeps the organisation pointed in one direction.
